Bharathiar University Distance Education was founded in 1991. The university is located in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu. The university has approx. 308 Spot Admission-cum-Learning or Information centers all over the world.



Bharathiar University offers Diploma, UG, PG, PG Diploma, and Certificate courses through Distance mode. Some popular courses are BA, BSc, BBA B.Com, BCA, BSW, M.Sc MA, B.Lib.Sc, MBA, M.Com, Integrated MBA, MCA, Executive MBA, MSW, and M.Lib.Sc, etc. 

Apart from this the university also offers a PG Diploma program with 16 specializations and a Diploma course under 11 specializations as well as a Certificate program with 8 specializations.

 Admission Process of Bharathiar University Distance Education

The application form of  Bharathiar University Distance Education has to be submitted only offline mode. Applicants could download the application form either from the website of the university or can also collect it in person or through the post.

Applicants will be get admitted to UG-level courses on the basis of merit list i.e. obtained marks in the qualifying examination.

Admissions into MBA and MCA courses are done on the basis of merit in the previous year of the qualifying degree.

Admission into Diploma, PG Diploma, a well as Certificate courses will be done on the basis of the obtained percentage scored by the applicants in the previous year’s qualifying examination as per the norms of the university. 

Bharathiar University SDE Application Process 2022

The application form of Bharathiar University SDE is available through only offline mode. The application form could be received either visit the admission cell or through the post. For post, applicants must have to pay the application fee either through bank challan, Demand draft, or in cash. 

Apart from this, candidates can also download their application form from the university’s website and submit it by post or in the admission cell office. 

Following are the below steps to apply:

Purchase or collect the application form of Bharathiar University either in person or by paying the application fee.

Applicants can also get their form by post along with the prospectus 

or 

Go to the university’s website to download the form.

Once download the application form then, fill it out correctly.

Attach all the mandatory documents as required

Send the application form by post to the university’s campus

Note: Applicants also need to submit the application fee of Rupees 150 (if downloaded application form or application form can be collected in person). Applicants then need to pay the application fees through Demand Draft in favor of “Director, School of Distance Education, Bharathiar University”. Applicants who have received the application form through post should submit INR 200 through bank challan or DD.

Class X and XII and Graduation Mark sheet 

Class X and XII and Graduation Passing Certificate 

Four Passport-sized photograph

Equivalent certificate (for Graduates who are from Foreign universities)

DD or Bank Challan

Address proof, Passport, and Authentication letter (for overseas students)

Bonafide or service Certificate to avail working concession
